”We really like to help entrepreneurs to scale their proven business models from EUR 5-20 million to > EUR 100 million in revenues.”
Enää yksi yö ja Helsingin Emeet avaa ovensa. Ehandel.fi:n sivuilla haastatellaan toukokuun aikana tapahtuman yhteistyökumppaneita. Nyt on vuorossa eEquity. Kysymyksiin vastaa englanniksi Managing Partner Patrik Hedelin (kuvassa).
What are the reasons behind your decision to sponsor Emeet?
We find Emeet to be a great place to meet new entrepreneurs and companies that we would like to follow, socialize with and over time hopefully invest in. Since eEquity is a specialized investor in internet retailing it is a great fit with Emeet.
What are the key values of your company?
We really like to help entrepreneurs to scale their proven business models from EUR 5-20 million to > EUR 100 million in revenues. Since we are a leading sector fund for e-commerce we can actively get all our companies to work together to apply the eEquity toolbox and best practice in all areas of the business.
In what way has the e-business changed in the last two years from your perspective?
Today data driven business processes have become much more important where we talk data warehousing, business intelligence, marketing automation and AI much more than previously. We have also in the latest fund focused more on product companies that we scale globally compared to previously where the companies were more resellers of external brands.
What do you think the e-business will look like in a couple of years and what measures is your company taking to stay ahed of the game?
Today we are using a lot of influencer marketing to scale really fast. Tomorrow it might be something else. We just need to stay tuned and adopt to new trends fast.
How do you strive to stay ahead of the competition?
We meet a lot of people in ecommerce globally that we learn and get inspired from and we also learn a lot from our portfolio companies.
In what way do you cooperate with other companies in the same business?
All our companies are in ecommerce and are very keen to share what they know and learn to both eachother and us since we never invest in competitors. Since we bring a portfolio of companies to the table the entrepreneurs get a completely different access to all other partners, including e.g. social media platforms, 3PL´s, payment providers and commercial banks.
Have you been at eMeet Helsinki before – if so what has the experience been like?
We have been to many eMeet before that we have all loved but never to Helsinki. However, we have two Finnish companies in our portfolio.
What are your expectations ahead of this year’s eMeet?
We expect to meet great entrepreneurs that we can get to know and work together with. We really look forward to the event.
